Every religion has its traditional clothing. You find people belonging to the Christianity faith wearing formal suits. In the same way, the traditional Islamic clothing for men is the Thobe. What is the thobe? The thobe is a long overflowing tunic like garment that men can wear over their normal clothes. In the normal case, the thobe is a white robe. However, in today’s circumstances, you have the men’s designer thobes in different colors.

We should clear the air as to why the traditional thobes are pure white in color. The climate in Islamic countries like the Gulf countries and Arabia is very hot during the day. Such modified clothing is also known as Kameez or jubba in areas like Pakistan and India.  

The color of the jubba need not be white in these countries because the climate allows the wearing of different colors. Hence you have the designer Jubba for men in colors other than white as well. You have them in attractive shades of yellow, blue, or even red. People in Pakistan love green color a lot. Therefore, you do find green colored jubbas in Pakistan and Bangladesh among other countries.  

You have various kinds of embroidery on the collars and the front portion of these designer jubbas. This explains why people of different faiths purchase such jubbas as a matter of fashion. The traditional thobe does not have any embroidery but the men’s designer thobes do have them. One has to move with the times.

You get these thobes at specific shops that sell Islamic garments. In the Islamic countries, you get them everywhere. However, in countries like India, you have to go to special stores that sell Islamic garments to find your thobe.
